We had the visit of some friends from 6th year, from CEIP Narciso Alonso Cortés , with their teachers Lisa and Marivi.

Recibimos algunos amigos de 6º curso de Primaria del CEIP Narciso Alonso Cortés, acompañados de sus profesoras Lisa y Marivi. 

Thursday, 8 and Friday, 9 March.

We had the visit of some friends from 6th year, from CEIP Miguel Hernández , with their teachers Sonia and Amelia.

Jueves, 8 y viernes, 9 de marzo.

Recibimos algunos amigos de 6º curso de Primaria del CEIP Miguel Hernández, acompañados de sus profesoras Sonia y Amelia.

We shared workshops of Sciences and English.

Compartimos talleres de Ciencias Naturales y de Inglés.

Biology: We studied photosynthesis. First with a song and some questions. Then in answer to the questions, we had some laboratory stations. We observed the plant cells under the microscope, extracted chlorophyll and other pigments from spinach leaves (paper chromatography) and talked about glucose production, that is done during photosynthesis.

Talleres de Biología: Estudiamos la fotosíntesis. Primero con una canción y algunas preguntas. Como respuesta a esas preguntas, tuvimos unos talleres rotatorios en el laboratorio. Observamos las células vegetales en el microscopio, extrajimos la clorofila y otros pigmentos de las hojas de espinacas (cromatografía en papel) y hablamos de la producción de glucosa, que se sintetiza en la fotosíntesis.

Glucose is necessary to live, but many products contain an excessive concentration of it. So we verified the sugar content of some snacks and drinks, we weighted it and we did a poster with everything.

Now we'll think before we choose what to eat or drink.

La glucosa es necesaria para la vida, pero muchos productos contienen una concentración exagerada. Así que comprobamos la cantidad de azúcar en algunos alimentos y bebidas, la pesamos e hicimos un póster con todo ello.

Ahora pensaremos un poco antes de elegir qué comer o beber.

English Workshop: First we split into three groups.Each group did a different activity each time. We played some games, guessing characters. We sang the song "Happy" and we prepared some fruit brochettes.

Taller de Inglés: Primero nos dividimos en tres grupos, y cada grupo hizo una actividad por separado. Jugamos a adivinar personajes, cantamos la canción Happy y preparamos brochetas de frutas.

In the end, we all got together and ーWe ate all the fruit brochettes with hot chocolate!

We enjoyed the fruit and all the morning experience so much!

It is possible to be happy and eat well.

And we did all this IN ENGLISH! LEARNING AND HAVING FUN AT THE SAME TIME!

Al final nos juntamos todos y ¡Nos comimos las brochetas de fruta con chocolate caliente!

Y nos gustó mucho la fruta y toda la experiencia de la mañana.

Se puede ser feliz comiendo bien.

¡Y todo esto lo hicimos EN INGLÉS! ¡APRENDIENDO Y DIVIRTIÉNDONOS A LA VEZ!
